Meet Greg Lane, Accurate Brazing’s Business Unit Director-Southeast. A move south six years ago brought him to Accurate Brazing. He came on board to help get the new Pelham plant up and running. Currently he oversees operations at both SC facilities.
While Heat Treating and Brazing are a far cry from Greg’s forestry and marketing degrees, he’s had a long career in and around the industry. He started in the industry straight from college when he landed a job in sales at Hi-TecMetal Group. He says the best piece of advice he ever received is, “Beat the customer to the phone.”
Greg’s favorite part of his job is developing new part brazing. Through the years he has worked on many small development projects. The most challenging one to date is a next-gen fuel mixer, which is not yet in production.
When not at work, you can find Greg with his wife enjoying the outdoors in Upstate SC. Hiking at nearby state parks and biking along the Swamp Rabbit Trail are some of their favorite activities. And, even though he is a long way from his hometown of Cleveland, he still roots for his Browns, of course.
